Focura ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Android application.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Data: Name, Email Address, User ID, and Profile Photo.
- App Data: App restriction settings, friend connections, and premium subscription status.
- Usage Statistics: To provide screen time tracking, the app accesses your device's usage statistics. This data is processed locally on your device to show you your usage patterns.
2. Permissions & Special APIs (Crucial)
- Accessibility Service: Focura uses the Android Accessibility Service API to provide "Strict Mode" and "Website Blocking." This API allows the app to detect when a blocked application or website is opened so it can be closed automatically. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, keystrokes, or screen content via this service.
- Usage Access: We require "Usage Access" permission to calculate your daily screen time. This data is used solely for the app’s internal functionality.
3. How We Use Information
- To create and manage your account.
- To enable "Strict Mode" and social accountability with friends.
- To process premium features via Google Play Billing.
- To store your preferences securely in Firebase.
4. Third-Party Services
We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, and Storage) to securely manage user data. All data is handled according to Google's privacy standards. We use Google Play Billing for secure payments; we never see or store your credit card information.
5. Data Sharing & Security
- We never sell your data.
- Information (like your name or usage stats) is only shared with friends you explicitly connect with for accountability.
- We use industry-standard encryption and Firebase Security Rules to protect your data.
6. Children’s Privacy
Focura is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Data Deletion
You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time via the "Privacy Policy option in profile page" menu in the app or by contacting us at the email below.
